    This meeting focuses on business in the transit industry and support for APTA’s transit advocacy efforts. The business member activity fund publishes documents which highlight the benefits of investing in public transportation.

    This seminar brings together public transportation chief executives and their deputies in a forum for professional development and open dialogue on leadership and management topics.

  • High-Speed Rail In The United States: An International Practicum On System Implementation
    February 8-13, 2010 - Washington, D.C.; Chicago, Illinois; and Los Angeles, California
    Held in three different cities across America, these seminars focused on providing U.S. decision-makers with information on implementing high-speed rail, as America enters this exciting new era.
  • Legal Affairs Seminar

  • Transportation & University Communities Conference
    April 10-13, 2010 - Athens, Georgia
    If you provide transportation to a university, operate in a university community setting, are considering offering transit services to university students, or sell products and services to such a system, then you should plan to attend this conference!
  • ITS Best Practices Workshop: Electronic Payment Systems
    April 22-23, 2010 - New Orleans, Louisiana
    The workshop will focus on Electronic Payment Systems and will be conducted in conjunction with the ISO Technical Committee 204 meeting which occurs earlier in the week.

  • International Rail Rodeo
    June 3-6, 2010 - Vancouver, British Columbia
    Contests professional customer service and operating skills including knowledge of safety regulations, train equipment, wayside rules, regulations, and procedures, as well as the maintainer's skills and abilities.
  • Rail Conference
    June 6-9, 2010 - Vancouver, British Columbia
    This conference provides a comprehensive learning and networking experience with a complete slate of technical sessions relevant to the operation, management, and maintenance of rail and fixed guideway systems.

  • Transit Board Members Seminar And Board Support Employee Development Workshop
    July 17-20, 2010 - Eugene, Oregon
    Sessions focus on achieving excellence in overseeing services and organizations in the board members' governance roles. Educational and exchange workshops and opportunities are offered for transit board members and board support staff.
  • Sustainability & Public Transportation Workshop
    July 25-27, 2010 - New York, NY
    This workshop focuses on best practices in sustainability within the transit industry and the role of public transportation in meeting federal, state and local sustainability goals such as increasing energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Registration opening April 2010.
  • Multimodal Operations Planning Workshop
    July 26-28, 2010 - New York, NY
    This workshop focuses on state of the art techniques for scheduling, service planning, operating procedures, and facility design, illustrating best practices through real-world applications drawn from transit operators throughout North America.

  • Risk Management Seminar
    August 1-4, 2010 - Seattle, Washington
    The conference is designed for risk managers, safety/security/claims officers, policy makers, insurance brokers, and others with in interest in risk management in the public transportation industry.
  • State Public Transit Partnership Conference
    August 4-5, 2010 - Seattle, Washington
    The conference is the premier event for state DOT officials, state association leaders, transit systems and advocates on the important role states play in support of public transportation.  This is a cooperative effort among AASHTO, APTA and CTAA.
