| The APTA Alternative Fuels Committee gathers and disseminates timely and
credible information and networking resources for various alternative fuels. The Committee
links transit with alternative fuel technology, fuel providers, suppliers, research,
training resources, regulatory authorities, standards agencies, and industry support. The
Committee brings APTA interest groups and committees together to work on alternative fuels
issues and to work to ensure that alternative fuels are safe, reliable, and cost
effective. VISION STATEMENT
The vision of the Alternative Fuels Committee is to evaluate alternative fuels
environmental and cost impacts, disseminate information, to establish a network of
information and resources, and to develop more and stronger supporters for transit through
partnership with supporters of alternative fuels.

The committee was formed in 1997 and meets several times each year.
The next meetings will be on May 4, 2003, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
and October/November 2003, at a location to be decided later.
