Track Noise / Vibration Technical Forum

This technically oriented forum addresses transit track issues including standards, and noise/vibration issues resulting from track structures, and wheel/rail interface.  Membership is open to all APTA members.

Member News

The Technical Forum is actively involved with the American Rail Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association (AREMA) in the development of recommended practices for streetcar track.  This is a major effort and is the primary near-term focus of the forum.

Upcoming Meetings

The Forum meets twice a year as part of its technical tours of transit properties and also meets at the Rail Conference.
