Description of Committee work:
The International Rail Rodeo showcases the skills of rail
operators and maintainers. With the host transit property and APTA's staff
advisor, the Committee plans, conducts, judges and scores the events for the
operator and maintainer team competitions, usually held just prior to the
Rail Transit Conference in early June. The committee sees that the activities
are conducted in a fair and equal manner. The committee meets at the host
property site, usually the previous November, to plan the Rodeo. The elected
Committee Officers meet in March at APTA headquarters to finalize the planning.
The committee reviews and updates the contestants' International Rail Rodeo
Handbook.
