APTA has released Transit Communications Interface Profiles Draft Standard (TCIP Version 2.7.1) for Public Comment. The Public Comment Period is from July 15, 2005 through August 15, 2005.
The draft standard may be downloaded in Microsoft Word format by clicking on "Download Standard". Note that TCIP spans several Microsoft Word Documents some of which contain extensive hyperlink references between them. These hyperlinks will work correctly only if the various documents are stored in the same folder on your computer.
The corresponding TCIP Extensible Markup Language (XML) Schemas may be downloaded by clicking on "Download Baseline Schema", or "Download Dup Schema" below. The baseline schema set contains the original TCIP 2.7.1 Schema and associated Schemas from other ITS Standards. The dup schema set contains a similar set of schemas that incorporate workarounds necessary for use in the .NET framework. Each Schema download contains a copy of a read me file with additional explanations.
Comments should be submitted on comment forms which may be downloaded by clicking on "Download Comment Form" below. Please do not paste passages from the TCIP standard into the comment forms.
These documents have been saved in either Microsoft Word or .xsd format. All .xsd documents should open readily in either Microsoft Wordpad, or in Notepad.
