The APTA Board of Directors is the governing body of the association.
The board consists of designated transit system directors representing the highest dues paying public sector members, designated business member directors representing the highest dues paying private sector members, the board’s executive committee, elected by the association’s members, at-large directors, elected by the association’s members, the APTA president, and the chairs of the following APTA committees:
