The purpose of the APTA Procurement Steering Committee (PSC) is to
- work in support of a stronger business environment in the public transportation industry by developing strategies that, when implemented, lead to improved buying and selling practices in the transit industry;
- provide the industry with better products at a fair cost and strengthen the business climate of the industry;
- ensure the integrity of the procurement process;
- and result in an industry workforce that understands the importance and benefits of good procurement practices.

This committee is by appointment only; however, all APTA members are free to attend the meetings.
