State Affairs Committee

This APTA State Affairs Committee's purpose is to provide a forum for identification, discussion, and resolution of public transit issues by state transit associations, state departments of transportation, transit systems, and affiliated interests.

Activities include

• the development of the annual State Public Transit Partnerships Conference

• network and coalition building efforts to build state support for transit funding

• responding to appropriate technical issues

• and improving the management of state transit associations.

Members include

• state association executive directors and officers

• state department of transportation officials

• and transit system general managers.
