General Program
The conference will include up to date on BRT research efforts and new programs to help aid the transit industry in designing, implementing and funding BRT services in their communities. Other topics to be covered include a panel of General Managers discussing how they worked with their community, developed relationships, and structured their agencies as the prepared to implement Bus Rapid Transit. The remaining sessions will focus on "BRT in your Community" with topic areas to include: Community Context and Design, Traffic Engineering, Deploying Technology for Effective Operations, and wrapped up with session on Image, Marketing and Fare Policy.
