Public transportation plays a vital role in reducing our nation's greenhouse gas emissions and our reliance on foreign oil.  Providing individuals with quality and energy efficienct transit service is critical to our nation's energy and environmental strategies.  APTA has sponsered a number of research efforts to beter understand the relaitonship between public transportation, energy and the environment.
