MARTA is dedicated to making public transportation accessible to everyone, regardless of disability. They are proud to say that all their 91 bus routes are equipped with wheelchair lifts or kneeling capabilities. In addition, MARTA operates Mobility services for qualified riders. MARTA provides priority seating for senior citizens and persons with disabilities at the front of every bus. Each rail station is 100 percent accessible with special, wide faregates for persons with disabilities. Escalators and elevators are located between the rail, bus, and street levels at each station. Each train has a special wheelchair space at one end of each rail car. MARTA offers rail system transportation to and from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to all downtown hotels and the Georgia World Congress Center. This is the quickest and least expensive way to get to and from the airport to downtown Atlanta. The MARTA station is located between the North & South Baggage Claim areas. At the end of the terminal look for the glass doors labeled "MARTA City Train.” Inside you will find Breeze Fare Vending Machines and helpful Station Agents and MARTA volunteers who can show you how to purchase your fare and take either the Doraville (Gold Line) or the North Springs (Red Line) train to downtown Atlanta. Host Information Desk
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) will have a general information desk at the APTA registration area at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis (Saturday & Sunday, Oct. 7 & 8) and the Georgia World Congress Center (Saturday through Wednesday, Oct. 7-11). MARTA staff will be available to answer questions you may have regarding local sites, restaurants, social and cultural activities, and to provide transportation information and maps. The host information desks will be open the same hours as the APTA registration desks.
