APTA Registration Desk
Admission to all scheduled activities requires a name badge. Please register and pick up your badge upon arrival. The registration desk, located at Convention Reg. Desk 1-2, Casino Level, in the Grand Sierra Resort, is open the following times:

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Tuesday
Join us for the fourth annual BRT Tuesday dedicated to BRT professionals. Take advantage of this day of learning and interaction with your BRT peers and other associated transit professionals. BRT Tuesday will be held in the Tahoe Room, Casino Level in the Grand Sierra Resort.

The 2017 International Bus Roadeo is scheduled for Sunday, May 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Parking Lot 6 of the Grand Sierra Resort, 2500 E. 2nd Street, Reno, NV, 89595. Be sure to make the short walk to the roadeo site and cheer your team to victory! Competition start times and directions will be available at the roadeo and conference registration desks.
As a courtesy to other attendees, please turn off cell phones and other personal mobile devices during committee meetings and business sessions.
All conference registrants are welcome and encouraged to attend any committee meetings that are listed in the conference program.
Complimentary Digital Bus Pass
Our host, the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County (RTC), in collaboration with their mobile ticketing provider, Token Transit, is providing free digital bus passes to all conference attendees. Conference Name Badges
Name badges are required for all business sessions, committee meetings, meal functions, receptions, and technical tours. Please cooperate by wearing your badge at all times during the conference.
Conference Technical Papers
Each paid registrant will receive online access to the conference technical papers as part of the conference registration fee. This added member benefit, available after the conference, affords members universal access to some of the most important technical research advancing the industry presented at the conference.
APTA plans to award credits for sessions tailored to the needs of new and experienced professionals. Click on the link to view the list of approved converence sessions for planners and procurement professionals.

Host Information Desk
The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County will have a general information desk in the APTA registration area, Grand Salon, Casino Level, Grand Sierra Resort, on Thursday and Friday, May 4 & 5 (roadeo) and Saturday through Wednesday, May 6 - 10 (conference). Host staff will be available to answer questions you may have regarding local sites, restaurants, social, and cultural activities, and to provide transportation information and maps. The host information desk is open the same hours as the APTA registration desk.
Maintenance Managers Workshop (formerly Maintenance Monday)
Join us for the Maintenance Managers Workshop (formerly Maintenance Monday) for a half-day dedicated to bus maintenance and bus technologies. Take advantage of a half-day of learning and interaction with your maintenance manager peers and other associated transit professionals. Monday's Maintenance Managers Workshop be held in the Tahoe Room, Casino Level in the Grand Sierra Resort .

Mid-Level Managers Magnification Program
APTA recognizes the public transportation industry’s need to develop managers and supervisors holding mid-level positions.
Again this year at our major conferences, we are providing a variety of workshops, sessions, and learning opportunities specifically designed to advance the skills of professionals at this level.

Teton 1, Mezzanine Level in the Grand Sierra Resort has been reserved daily from Monday through Wednesday. Moderators are encouraged to use this room to meet informally with their speakers to go over last-minute details prior to the start of their sessions, and to preview their PowerPoint presentations. The room is open the same time as the APTA registration desk..
Student Involvement & Registration
Encouraging student involvement is an important goal for APTA’s conferences and meetings. APTA’s workforce development initiatives have embraced the need to prepare the next generation of leaders within the public transportation industry. Faculty and students at local colleges and universities are invited to attend and are encouraged to participate in the conference programming.
Student registration is free and includes admission to:

+ technical tours
To be eligible, the student must:
+ be currently enrolled in a college or university
+ complete the Conference Registration Form
+ present his or her current student ID when registering on site
