Call for Papers and Presentations

The American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) 2015 Bus & Paratransit Conference will be held May 3 - 6, in Forth Worth, TX. This conference is designed to enhance the technical skills and increase the effectiveness of today’s bus and paratransit workforce. APTA is pleased to invite its members to submit half-page abstracts by Friday, September 3, 2014. 

 By submitting an abstract (of no more than 200 words), submitters are also given an option to prepare a paper of no more than ten pages in length for the conference online proceedings. Abstracts will be submitted under the following routes:

 

  • Route 1 - Technology
  • Route 2 - Operations & Maintenance
  • Route 3 - Accessibility
  • Route 4 - Safety, Security & Emergency Preparedness
  • Route 5 - Planning, Sustainability & Finance
  • Route 6 - Capital Programs
  • Route 7 - Policy, Management & Workforce Development

 

Planning Schedule

Presentation ideas and abstracts due to APTA September 3, 2014
Author notifications Late November 2014
Paper reprint forms due to APTA February 13, 2015
Technical Papers due to APTA April 15, 2015
Technical papers and presentations posted online May 2015

The call for papers and presentations and the opportunity for one’s work to be included in the bus conference online proceedings are member services, i.e. all authors must be members of  APTA or a Federal partner such as the Federal Transit Administration or Federal Railroad Administration. If your organization is an APTA member, its employees are automatically APTA members.
