Call for Papers
The American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) 2012 Bus & Paratransit Conference & International Bus Roadeo will be held May 4 - 8 at the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel and Hilton Long Beach Hotel in Long Beach, CA. This conference is designed to enhance the technical skills and increase the effectiveness of today’s bus and paratransit workforce. APTA is pleased to invite its members to submit half-page abstracts by November 28, 2011, within the technical and educational routes below tailored to meet the needs of the transit industry:
- A - Accessibility
- B - General Management/Business Practices
- C- Maintenance/Operations
- D- Marketing/Communications
- E- Planning
- F- Procurement
- G- Safety and Security
- H- Technology
- I- Workforce Development
To submit abstracts and review the session descriptions, please visit http://www.apta.com/mc/bus/. By submitting an abstract (of no more than 2000 characters), authors are proposing to prepare a paper of about ten pages in length for the conference proceedings. The call for papers and the opportunity for one’s work to be included in the bus conference proceedings are member services, i.e., available only for APTA members, all authors must be members of the American Public Transportation Association or a Federal partner such as the Federal Transit Administration or Federal Railroad Administration. If your organization is an APTA member, its employees are automatically APTA members.
