Complimentary Transit Pass

When you register for the conference, you’ll receive a complimentary transit pass good for all Long Beach Transit (LBT) services during the conference. The passes are good through Sunday, May 13.   

Accessible Transportation

Long Beach Transit's buses are all accessible, as are the buses and rail service of neighboring transit systems. Information about LBT regular service and trip planning can be found at www.lbtransit.com or by calling 562-591-2301 Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Information about service throughout Los Angeles County can be found at www.metro.net or by calling 323-466-3876 (Go Metro) Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Persons who need paratransit service instead of accessible fixed route service should call the Long Beach Dial-A-Lift service at 562-599-8586 or email Karla Mitchell at kmitchell@lbtransit.com

Long Beach Transit asks that persons who will need paratransit service for the conference or roadeo contact Ms. Mitchell right away so they can better plan for the level of service required. If you plan to travel outside Long Beach, you should contact her by April 12.   

Public Transportation to Long Beach Hotels

Long Beach Transit (LBT) will have complimentary buses running directly from Long Beach Airport (LGB) to the three conference/roadeo hotels. In addition, you may take regular fixed route service or private transportation from Long Beach Airport, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and John Wayne (Orange County) Airport (SNA (OC)).  See the information below.

Long Beach Airport (LGB)

ARRIVING: Via Complimentary Long Beach Transit (LBT) Shuttle Bus (May 2 to May 6)

Shuttle Buses will be provided by LBT from LGB to the Westin, Renaissance and Hilton Hotels.

Service will run hourly, leaving at 30 minutes past each hour – from 9:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Travel time is approximately 20 minutes.

The LBT shuttle bus will be located across the street from the main terminal on an island in front of the parking garage. (There are only two terminals and this location is close to each.)

DEPARTING: Via Complimentary Long Beach Transit (LBT) Shuttle Bus (May 9 and May 10)

On Wednesday, May 9, Buses will operate hourly from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., originating from the Westin, with additional stops at the Renaissance and Hilton Hotels to Long Beach Airport.

On Thursday, May 10, Buses will operate hourly from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., originating from the Westin, with additional stops at the Renaissance and Hilton Hotels to Long Beach Airport.

Via Long Beach Transit Route 111

Route 111 provides service from Long Beach Airport to Downtown Long Beach. Service operates from 5:45 a.m. until midnight. See www.lbtransit.com for the specific schedule. From the main terminal baggage claim area, cross the street and walk approximately 150 feet - past the taxi cabs; the bus stop is on the right. Travel time is approximately 45 minutes.  

Fare on Route 111 is $1.25.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) 

ARRIVING: Via METRO Rail System

From the LAX departure level, board a G route shuttle at the Blue loading area to Aviation Station.  Board a Green Line Train marked ‘Norwalk.’ Take the Green Line to Rosa Parks Station. Proceed to the lower level, and board a Blue Line Train marked ‘Long Beach.’ For the Westin, debark at the 1st Street Station and walk one block south. For the Renaissance debark at the Transit Mall Station, and walk one block south on Pine. For the Hilton debark at Transit Mall Station, and board a route A or D Passport ‘Catalina Landing’ on Pine Avenue. Travel time is about 1.5 hours. See www.socaltransport.org for the schedule.

Fare on the Green Line is $1.50; fare on the Blue Line is $1.50 – total $3.

DEPARTING: Via METRO Rail System

Walk or take a Passport A/D bus to 1st and Pine (Passport Center). Walk to the Metro Blue Line Station on the Transit Gallery. Take the Blue Line train marked ‘Los Angeles’ to the Rosa Parks Station. Proceed to the upper level and board a Green Line Train westbound marked ‘Marine/Redondo Station’ to the Aviation Station. From the Aviation Station, board a G route shuttle to LAX. Travel time is about 1.5 hours. See www.socaltransport.org for the schedule.

Passport A/D is free. Fare on the Blue Line is $1.50; fare on the Green Line is $1.50 – total $3.

*Reservations are required to ride Super Shuttle from Long Beach Airport (LGB). Customers requiring accessible transportation on Super Shuttle should make reservations for that service and indicate if a service animal will accompany the customer.

For Super Shuttle transportation into airports, customers are required to make advanced reservations. When making an accessible reservation, customers should specify whether or not an accessible vehicle is required or if a service animal will be accompanying the customer.
