About This Seminar

Welcome to chief executives and deputies joining APTA’s Transit CEOs Seminar. This unique leadership forum offers opportunities to exchange news with colleagues and learn from the best.

With surface transportation legislation enacted in 2012, planning for the next federal authorization begun, and overall ridership “up,” this seminar focuses on forward-thinking strategies. Discussions will highlight funding and financing ideas, how transit is driving economic development, leading when in a crisis mode, Buy America, labor trends, and working with many different publics ― all relevant to your vision and daily oversight of your organization.

New this year is a separate track of study for executive staff members – ‘deputies’ with a career goal to move to a CEO position. Also, more interactive sessions are offered for 2013. Come share your insights and discuss your agency’s advances and challenges. Learn more about emerging trends and resources to improve your operation. You’re sure to gain fresh perspectives and new ideas to adapt in your organization.
