WASHINGTON —With unemployment rising to near record levels, the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) is releasing a new report that demonstrates how investing in public transportation provides green jobs in industries particularly hard hit by the economic downturn. In addition, the American Solar Energy Society will release a report on clean energy jobs in technical, manufacturing, transportation and construction industries. The reports provide more evidence why Congress needs to act quickly on climate change and transportation legislation.
