 Telling Our Story Samples

By leveraging the American Public Transportation Association’s “Public Transportation Takes Us There” advocacy campaign, Metro (Cincinnati) will tell its story of how transit benefits the economy, environment, energy independence and quality of life and solicit stories from its customers under each of these categories. 

Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority worked with students from the College of Engineering at San Jose State, CA.  Students received a presentation on the BART Silicon Valley Project and were asked to write an essay about the importance of this regional transportation improvement project.  These essays were then brought to Washington, DC to help convince congress to fund the BART extension.

The Florida Public Transportation  Association is seeking true stories from state residents and visitors via a Telling Our Story contest.The association is seeking stories showcasing the benefit of using any of Florida’s public transportation systems.

NBC's Today Show did a feature segment highlighting Bike to Work Day 2010. The segment featured a race among the show's stars, each traveling by bike, car, and public transportation.
