Trade Missions
APTA works closely with our U.S. Government relationships, including the U.S. Federal Transit Administration, the U.S. Federal Railroad Administration, and the U.S. Commercial Service, as well as with other governments abroad, to provide beneficial trade mission programs where there are opportunities for business exchanges and presentations on how to do business in that certain country. Suggestions are always welcome!
U.S.-China Transportation Forum
The 4th Annual U.S.-China Transportation Forum and Urban Congestion Working Group Workshop was held on January 10-13, 2012, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mark your calendars! The 5th Annual U.S.-China Transportation Forum will take place in China in December 2012!
Reverse Trade Missions
The U.S. public transportation industry has lots to offer to the international market, and many times delegations from outside of the U.S. will visit us in hopes of learning about products and services, and possibly even purchase our goods and services to better serve their communities. The U.S. Trade and Development Agency sponsors many such delegations, and often invites APTA members to be a part of the exchange.

Virtual Trade Missions
APTA's Virtual Trade Missions (VTM) are much more affordable alternatives to Trade Missions...absolutely free! Conducted in webinar format, APTA members can listen to presentations on hard projects going on in a particular country that they may be interested in doing business. In partnership with the U.S. Federal Transit Administration and the U.S. Commercial Service, members can participate for 1.5 hour sessions and learn about product and service export opportunities in countries outside of the U.S.
