The Broward County Department of Transportation located in Pompano Beach, FL., twelve miles from downtown Ft. Lauderdale is seeking to fill a new position of Deputy Director that will assist the Director in planning, prioritizing, and managing the operations of Broward County Transit serving 1.8 million residents and visitors in this second most populous County in Florida. Requirements for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Business, or other field (Masters preferred) and eight (8) years of high level transportation management experience.
Additional experience will be considered in lieu of additional education requirements. Experience with rail starts will be considered a plus. Must pass background/criminal investigation and pre-employment physical with drug screening.

Senior Transportation Analyst
The City of Glendale, AZ is accepting applications to fill the position of Senior Transportation Analyst. Under the direction of the Transportation Planning Manager, the incumbent performs advanced level professional financial analysis, administration, and transportation planning duties relating to the city's roadway, transit, airport, bicycle and pedestrian transportation networks.
Duties include:
performing advanced complex financial analysis and financial administration work involving economic models, bonding, sales tax projections, grant funding, and trend analysis
creating comprehensive financial reports related to Transportation project funds
operating and maintenance costs, federal and regional grants, and annual and 25 year sales tax program
facilitating the implementation of plans including development of design concepts, formation of financial plans, and preparation of budgets
capital programs and schedules

Conducts accident and industrial injury investigation as required.
Completes accident and/or injury reports when required.
Conducts all post-accident retraining and documentation.
In addition, they complete all retraining in a timely fashion following an accident or unfavorable Road Observation/Check Ride.
Conduct Road Observations and Check Rides, ensuring that all drivers receive them per company policy.
Records them in the training file and a separate file for Road Observations and Check Rides.
Assists in preparing and conducting the monthly safety meetings and accurately records all in-service training.
Maintains all training records in an “Inspection Ready” status at all times. Ensures the confidentiality of all records.
They ensure that all drivers maintain the required safety equipment aboard their vehicles through training and random inspections.
Will maintain the highest standards of excellence in appearance and attitude.
Serve as a professional role model for BTW trainers and drivers.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Transit Marketing and Advocacy Manager
The Iowa DOT Office of Public Transit has a full-time position open for a transit professional. As the marketing and advocacy manager, this position will focus on creating messages that educate the general public and positively promote transit as a viable, effective and “green” transportation alternative. This person will be responsible for developing and coordinating a statewide public transit campaign, including developing press releases, brochures, web pages, and other promotional materials. Other duties include monitoring and tracking transit related regulation and legislation on the state and federal level.
