Michael H. Setzer, chief executive officer and general manager of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority in Cincinnati and secretary-treasurer of the Everybody Rides Metro foundation, has resigned to accept a regional vice president’s position with Veolia Transportation. He will continue to be involved with Metro in a contract management capacity.
Setzer has more than 30 years of transit management experience. He joined Metro in 2004, having previously led transit systems in Minneapolis/St. Paul and St. Louis and managed contracts with many transit systems nationally.
Marilyn G. Shazor, currently chief operating officer for Metro, will take over the top post on March 31. She is the first woman and the first member of a minority group to serve in this position.
