Ontario to Invest $497 Million in Transportation

The provincial government in Ontario will invest $497 million (Cdn.) in funding for public transportation infrastructure in the Greater Toronto Area and Hamilton in 2008 as part of $1 billion (Cdn.) for new municipal infrastructure projects.

The fiscal year in Ontario ends in March, and the funding for the 2008 budget comes from Fiscal Year 2007-2008, which ended March 31, 2008.
