The Veterans Transportation and Community Living Initiative (VTCLI) is an innovative, federally coordinated partnership that will make it easier for U.S. veterans, active service members, military families, and others to learn about and arrange for locally available transportation services that connect them with work, education, health care, and other vital services in their communities. Drawing on existing federal resources, and in consultation with advocates for veterans and people with disabilities, projects are being funded in urban, suburban, and rural communities around the nation to strengthen and promote "one-call" information centers and other tools that conveniently "connect the dots" as never before.
 RTC's Veterans Medical Transportation Network (Southern Nevada)
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada began a program in June of 2012 transporting veterans to medical and related appointments in the Las Vegas Valley know as the Veterans Medical Transportation Network (VMTN).
 Credentialing Opportunities On-Line-Army
COOL (Credentialing Opportunities On-Line) helps Army Soldiers find information on certifications and licenses related to their Military Occupational Specialties (MOSs). COOL explains how Soldiers can meet civilian certification and license requirements and provides links to numerous resources to help get them started.

COOL (Credentialing Opportunities On-Line) helps Navy Service members find information on certifications and licenses related to enlisted ratings, designators, collateral duties/out of rate assignments, and officer designators. COOL explains how Sailors can meet civilian certification and license requirements and provides links to numerous resources to help get Sailors started.

In July of 2011, the Department of Transportation, together with the Departments of Defense, Health and Human Services, Labor and Veterans Affairs, announced the Veterans Transportation and Community Living Initiative, designed to increase collaboration among federal, state and local agencies and oranizations to address the mobility challenges faced by our nation's veterans, service members, and their families.  On this page, communities can find resources which may help them understand these challenges and coordinate to address them.
