APTA Members to Enjoy Benefits of New APTA/SHRM Cooperative Agreement

APTA members are now eligible to enjoy a variety of benefits and discounts as a result of a new cooperative agreement between APTA and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). APTA President William Millar and (SHRM) Senior Vice President David Forman signed a cooperative agreement in which the Board of Directors of APTA and the Society of Human Resource Management recognize the common interests of both organizations – to cooperatively pursue activities that enhance the professional development and career advancements of Human Resource (HR) professionals. APTA’s Executive Committee approved this agreement when they convened in Philadelphia at APTA's 2001 Annual Meeting.

Opening Doors for on-going HR Needs

This agreement initiates new ways to help support the needs of APTA's human resource professionals by broadening APTA members'; access to valuable HR-related information resources and assistance needs. SHRM provides education and information services, conferences and seminars, government and media representation, online services and publications to more that 165,000 professional and student members throughout the world.
