Guide Dog Training

A special blue "student jacket" worn by guide dogs for the blind who are "in training" will gain them and their trainers free access to public transit in France. This is the gist of an agreement signed recently between the association of French transit providers and the national federation of guide dog training schools.

The blind and their guide dogs already enjoy this access. The new agreement allows young guide dogs and their sighted trainers equal access to trains and buses to familiarize the future canine companions of the blind with public transit facilities.
