Postings on a forum should be limited to questions seeking answers to a problem, responses to such questions, and descriptions of solutions or insights on a problem that might be beneficial to others. APTA committee chairs and the APTA staff advisor may also communicate information about committee meetings and other subject-related information.

All other uses, such as promotion of a particular company, its products and/or services, employment opportunities, self-promotional personal notices, and the uses listed below are NOT proper uses of the forums. Please cooperate and refrain from such postings.

You agree to use the forums provided on APTANet ® only to send and receive messages and material that are proper, legal, and related to the particular forum. By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree that when using a forum, you shall not do any of the following:

• Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten, or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others.

• Download any file posted by another user of the forum that you know, or reasonably should know, cannot be legally distributed in such manner.

• You acknowledge that all communications in a forum are public.  Do not disclose confidential information in a forum. Further, you acknowledge that forum communications are not endorsed by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), and such communications shall not be considered reviewed, screened, or approved by APTA. APTA reserves the right for any reason to remove without notice any person from the forums. APTA reserves the right to deny in its sole discretion any user access to this Web site or any portion thereof without notice.

• You hereby authorize APTA to use and/or authorize others to use all or part of your postings in any manner, format, or medium that APTA or such other parties see fit. You shall have no claim or other recourse against APTA for infringement of any proprietary right in postings.
