 Procurement Steering Committee

The purpose of the APTA Procurement Steering Committee (PSC) is to

  • work in support of a stronger business environment in the public transportation industry by developing strategies that, when implemented, lead to improved buying and selling practices in the transit industry;
  • provide the industry with better products at a fair cost and strengthen the business climate of the industry;
  • ensure the integrity of the procurement process;
  • and result in an industry workforce that understands the importance and benefits of good procurement practices.

The next committee meeting will take place at the APTA Annual Meeting & EXPO in Atlanta, GA.  The tentative meeting date and time for this committee is 5-6 pm, Sunday, October 8, 2017.


This committee is by appointment only; however, all APTA members are free to attend the meetings.

The committee is led by two co-chairs -- Co-chair, Natalie Cornell represents the Business Members.
Co-chair Andrew Johnson represents the public sector. ​
