APTA would like to invite you to our upcoming International Rail Infrastructure Maintenance Summit in Baltimore, MD on Saturday June 10th. The International Rail Infrastructure Maintenance Summit is a follow-up to the Rail Summit we held at APTA in February. The added value of this summit is that members of ALAMYS, the Latin America Transit Association, will join our group. This will include representatives from Madrid, Barcelona, Mexico City, and Chile. This summit will expand the groups focus to consider the infrastructure impacts of adding new rolling stock to a system. We have invited maintenance and engineering leaders from several agencies to share their recent programs. We will hear from ALAYMS members about how they are managing through similar State of Good Repair and Infrastructure issues.
We will have a more formal agenda next month but for purposes of holding the date and making travel plans, the summit will take place between 10am-4pm at the Baltimore Hilton. This is a special no cost session connected to the 2017 APTA Rail Conference. We hope that you will be able to attend this summit and stay for many great learning and networking opportunities during the Conference. Please continue to use the APTA Rail Conference registration to register for the actual conference.
