Take Public Transportation from Miami Intl. Airport to Hyatt Regency Miami
Miami-Dade Transit offers an easy, affordable and convenient way to get to the Hyatt Regency Miami using public transportation.
After you pick up your luggage at Miami International Airport, go to the third level of the airport, between the Dolphin and Flamingo garages, to access the MIA Mover. The MIA Mover, an automated people mover, will take you to the Miami Central Station, a multi-modal transportation center where you can access public transportation options and a car rental facility.
After you get off the MIA Mover, follow the signs to the Metrorail station. You will need an EASY Card or EASY Ticket to ride on Metrorail. (https://www.miamidade.gov/transit/metrorail.asp).
The EASY Card ticket vending machines are at the entrance of the Miami International Airport Metrorail station fare gates. Visit MDT’s ‘Fares and Transfers’ page to see which fare option best fits your travel needs. Once you have loaded fare value or a pass on to an EASY Card or EASY Ticket, simply tap the card or ticket at the fare gate and you’re good to go! (http://www.miamidade.gov/transit/fares-and-passes.asp).
Also available is the EASY Pay app, which allows anyone to turn their smartphone into a mobile ticket. Visit the EASY Pay page for more information. (http://www.miamidade.gov/transit/easy-pay.asp)
Note: The EASY Pay app currently has one option – the 1-Day pass. Metro-Dade Transit is in the process of upgrading the app.
Take a Green Line or Orange Line train heading south towards the Dadeland South Station. Get off at the Government Center Station. Be sure to have your EASY Card or EASY Ticket on hand. You’ll need it to tap out of the station.
As you exit the Government Center Station, you’ll see the entrance to the Metromover system. There is no need to pay to ride on Metromover. It’s free!
Visit the Metromover page. (https://www.miamidade.gov/transit/metromover.asp)
Take an Omni Metromover train to the Knight Center Station (100 SE Second Street). Exit the station and go down the escalators to the first level of the Miami Tower building. On the ground level, you will see the double-glass doors that lead to a tunnel that connects the Miami Tower building to the Hyatt Regency Miami building.
To plan other trips on transit, see when your Metrorail or Metromover train is arriving at your station, and other transit information, download the free Miami-Dade Transit Tracker app. (https://www.miamidade.gov/transit/transit-tracker-app.asp)
