TARTA - Day in the Life of a Team TARTA member

Target Audience: General public, Team TARTA members themselves and customers and community members who were interested in meeting the people behind their service.

Strategy Objective:To introduce customers and the general public to the people behind the service, and to paint public transportation in a different light for those considering a change of career.

Situation Challenge: A hiring need in customer facing and administrative positions in addition to fixed route operators, and a desire to demonstrate to the job-seeking public what those jobs entailed and how TARTA has benefitted the people who work in those posts.

Results Impact: Increased number of applications for open posts at TARTA and increased public awareness of what kind of jobs were available and what the day-to-day experience is for team members working in those posts. Positive public perception of TARTA after videos were used on social media and at Community Update event.

Why Submit: These videos represent TARTA's creative approach to putting both customers and the general public in touch with the human side of our organization. This campaign was designed not only to bolster recruitment for these positions, but to give the community an idea of what goes on behind the scenes in its transit agency.
