APTA’s Annual Meeting & EXPO is quickly approaching, so here are a few things to know before you go.
Check in at your hotel and visit the registration desk at the George R. Brown Convention Center to pick up your conference badge and meal function tickets starting Saturday, October 11, using your confirmation letter. If you misplaced your confirmation letter, look for the “Pre-Registered” signs and type in your last name on the computer. Your badge and tickets will print out.
If you did not pre-register, you can register on-site at counters marked “Annual Meeting,” “TransITech,” or “Expo-Only.”
If you need extra tickets for Sunday’s welcome reception, please purchase them at the Annual Meeting registration desk by noon, Saturday, October 11. They will not be sold thereafter, or at the reception.
Our conference host, Houston METRO, will be on-hand at the Convention Center with complementary transit passes, host gifts, and information about getting around Houston.
If you’re staying in a hotel away from the Convention Center, hop on the complementary shuttle. For a detailed timetable of shuttle service, click here.
Houston’s weather will range in the low to mid 80s, but the air conditioning in the Hilton and Convention Center can make the rooms rather cool, so keep these two things in mind when choosing what clothing to bring.
The EXPO show floor will feature more than 800 global exhibitors on two levels of the Convention Center, so be sure to bring sensible shoes.
For the first time at a major APTA conference, there will not be printed programs, in accordance with APTA’s Sustainability Commitment. Download the conference app on your smartphone by searching “APTA Events” in the App Store or Android Market to access the entire week’s schedule, list of exhibitors, and more, or find it online here.
We look forward to seeing you in Houston!
