 Call for Presentations

The 2011 Bus Technical, Maintenance and Procurement Workshop is scheduled for October 2-5, 2011 (Sunday through Wednesday), at the Ernest M. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA.

Technical Tracks

APTA is pleased to invite its members to submit half-page abstracts by July 22, 2011 within these technical/educational tracks:

  • Procurement and Materials Management Track – Abstracts should relate to all aspects of procurement and materials management, purchasing, regulations and requirements, innovative ideas, successful practices.
  • Bus Technical and Maintenance Track – Abstracts should relate to all bus related technical equipment and systems and the maintenance of.

*Please note that abstracts can apply to both, but only need to be submitted once.

How to Submit an Abstract

To submit abstracts visit  Call for papers page and click “Submit an abstract."

You are encouraged to share your professional expertise with transit industry peers and showcase your experience.  By submitting an abstract, authors will be expected to act as a moderator or presenter and invite qualified panelists for their session.

Please note that this opportunity is only open to APTA members. All authors must be members of APTA. If your organization is not a member, you can request membership information by contacting Helene Brett of APTA's Member Services Department at or (202) 496-4837.
