Transportation Options

MBTA provides a direct link from Boston Logan International Airport. The Omni Parker House is also a short walk from Amtrak Service via Boston South Station.

Travel Time: 5 minutes from Airport Station to the State Street Station on Blue Line; 14 minutes from Terminal E to South Station on Silver Line.

Cell Phones

As a courtesy to other attendees, please turn off cell phones and other personal mobile devices during committee meetings and business sessions.

Committee Meetings

Committee meetings are open to all interested APTA members. Members are encouraged to participate and become involved.

Continuing Education

APTA plans to offer AICP CM and AIA LU credits for sessions tailored to the needs of new and experienced professionals.

American Planning Association

Professional planners who are members of the American Planning Association’s professional institute, the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), are required to earn a total of 32 Certification Maintenance (CM) credits every two years to maintain their AICP credentials.  APTA plans to award AICP CM credits for sessions tailored to the needs of new and experienced planning officials.

The American Institute of Architects

Licensed architects, who are members of the American Institute of Architect (AIA), need continuing education to maintain competency, to fulfill the continuing education requirements for AIA membership, and frequently to renew state licensure. AIA architect members are required to complete 18 learning unit (LU) hours of continuing education per year for membership renewal. APTA plans to award AIA LU hours for sessions tailored to the needs of new and experienced architects.

Dress Code

The organizing committee encourages a business casual dress code at all events.

Host Information Desk

Our host agencies will have an information desk in the APTA registration area. Staff will answer questions you may have regarding local sites, restaurants, social and cultural activities, and provide transportation information and maps. The host information desk is open the same hours as the APTA registration desk.
