About This Seminar
This unique leadership forum for APTA-member CEOs and deputies offers opportunities to exchange information and renew your leadership skills.
With surface transportation legislation enacted in 2012, planning for the next federal authorization well underway, and ridership increasing, this seminar will focus on new strategies and best practices. Interactive discussions will highlight funding and financing, workforce development, labor relations, disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) programs, cyber security, media relations, why the Millennial generation is choosing public transit, succession planning, MAP-21's safety, asset management, and state of good repair mandates, and more topics relevant to your oversight of and vision for your agency.
A separate track of study will be offered for 'C-suite' or executive staff with a career goal of moving to a CEO position. Come share your insights and discuss your agency’s advances and challenges. Learn more about emerging trends and resources to improve your operation. You’re sure to gain fresh perspectives and new ideas to take home and adapt for your public transit organization.
