In accordance with the requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation, set forth in 49 C.F.R. Part 26, Alexander Dennis, Inc., hereby notifies the public that it is proposing the following Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (“DBE”) goal for applicable professional services, construction and procurement contracts during Fiscal Year 2023, beginning October 1, 2022 and ending September 30, 2023. The overall total DBE goal for Fiscal Year 2023 is 2.5%. Information pertaining to this goal and a description of how it was selected will be available for inspection from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) at DLA Piper, LLP (US), 500 8th Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20004 for 30 calendar days following the date of publication of this notice. This executive management position assumes complete responsibility for the delivery of transit-related programs in the SFMTA Capital Improvement Plan totaling $1.3 billion, including new light rail extensions, complete streets projects, facility upgrades and enhancements, and system overhead wire and rail replacement projects. The incumbent in this position directs the development and implementation of construction policies, goals, and objectives; manages organizational changes; ensures the enforcement of all safety protocols, applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations; and prepares and presents reports to executive management, the SFMTA Board of Directors, and other policy and regulatory bodies.

Strong knowledge and background in transportation infrastructure required. Utilize expert engineering/construction management skills and effectively manage stakeholder relationships.

PARATRANSIT SERVICES

Milwaukee Transport Services (MTS), quasi-­governmental instrumentality of Milwaukee County and operator of the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS), is requesting single proposals for our Paratransit Program commonly known as Transit Plus in Milwaukee County. The anticipated start of this contract is November 1, 2023.

Notice is hereby given that the University of South Florida, Center for Urban Transportation Research, representing the Florida Department of Transportation, will receive sealed proposals for the manufacture and delivery of the following 2023 model year vehicle type:

Standard cutaway,  minibus, and low floor cutaway chassis type transit vehicles 0 750

 

The quantities reflect the immediate and foreseeable needs of transit agencies within Florida and were determined by using the most recent State of Florida Program of Projects, historical data from previous Florida Department of Transportation contracts, Agency(s) requests, and Agency(s) vehicle replacement schedules. All or part of the quantity of vehicles stated herein may be assigned to other public transit agencies desiring to purchase the same equipment specified in Part 2 of this solicitation. The TRIPS program reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or any part of any or all proposals.

A pre-proposal meeting will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022, 10:00 a.m., at Lively Technical College, 500N Appleyard Dr. Tallahassee, FL 32304. Although optional, it is highly recommended prospective proposers attend, due to the known complexities of this solicitation. The meeting will be held in the conference room.
