​Airport Transportation Information

Take the train todowntown Denver, hotels, and the APTA International Rail Rodeo &Conference.

All registered APTA attendees will receive complimentarytransit guest passes good for travel on all RTD services upon checking into theconference.

RTD offers direct service from the airport to DowntownDenver on the University of Colorado A Line. In just 37 minutes, you’ll arriveat downtown’s Denver Union Station where you can connect with the Free MallRideand Free MetroRide or walk to all of downtown’s hotels, restaurants, retailestablishments and the Colorado Convention Center.  


Trains run every 15 minutes from 5:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., andevery 30 minutes at all other times. For exact scheduled times, call CustomerCare at 303.299.6000 or plan your trip at rtd-denver.com. 


All registered conference attendees receive a free RTD GuestPass smart card to use for unlimited rides on most RTD services during theconference.   Non-registered guests maypurchase one-way tickets for $9 at the ticket vending machined located near thetrain boarding area.   


There is overhead storage across the entire vehicle, plustwo dedicated luggage racks per vehicle. Luggage must not block aisle or exits.

Union Station to theHyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center

The Colorado Convention Center is just two blocks fromDowntown Denver’s 16th Street Mall.  From Union Station, take the Free 16th Street MallRide to the CaliforniaStreet stop.  Walk one block south to thehotel. The hotel is located between 14th and 15th on California Street.   ​ 

Returning to Airportfrom Downtown:

From the Hyatt Regency Denver – proceed two blocks to 16thStreet Mall, board Free Mall Ride to Union Station.  Debark at Wynkoop Street and proceed oneblock to Union Station. Proceed through Union Station to Track 1 or Track 2 –University of Colorado A Line to Denver Airport.  

Host Information Desk

RTD will have an information desk in the APTA registration area in the Hyatt Regency Downtown at the Convention Center Saturday, June 9 through Wednesday, June 13. Host staff will answer whatever questions you may have regarding local sites, restaurants, social and cultural activities, and provide information and maps. The information desk is also the place to sign up for educational and entertaining technical tours of RTD facilities, public art, transit-oriented developments, and downtown nightlife.  

The host information desk will be open the same hours as the APTA registration desk (hours are subject to change):

Saturday, June 9         11 – 5 p.m.
Sunday, June 10         7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Monday, June 11         7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Tuesday, June 12        8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, June 13   8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
