Program Executive Sessions, Workshops, and Capstone Projects
The Leadership APTA Class of 2024 will convene throughout the program year in a combination of in-person and virtual sessions. As may be needed, APTA will respond to necessary changes in the program delivery.
Throughout the year-long program, class participants will be provided with numerous opportunities to engage directly with APTA’s executive leadership, recognized industry leaders from public and private organizations, federal, state, and local officials, along with other industry and related leaders. The class will benefit from sessions led by industry visionaries and change agents; diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice champions; communications and engagement experts; negotiations practitioners; workforce leaders; national safety and cybersecurity experts; leading university experts, and many others.
Over the course of the program year, APTA, industry executive leaders, university faculty, and many others will direct executive round table sessions and customized workshops on the transformative role of today’s executive industry leaders. Participants will benefit from the shared insights and expertise of world-class visionary speakers and experts.
- Class members will have frequent opportunities to learn about, discuss, and support the priority initiatives of the APTA Chair, APTA, and the industry.
- Class member teams will work on industry capstone projects and presentations addressing present-day industry issues and challenges.
In addition to their presentations, Capstone teams will also produce executive summaries and video recordings that support their presentations. Class member presentations and papers are promoted to the APTA membership and the industry and showcased on the APTAU Learning Portal.
