Born and raised in Idaho, Rachel Pallister has worked for the Idaho Transportation Department for 5 ½ years, starting in 2013 within the Highways Division and moving into Public Transportation for the last 2 ½ years. Rachel oversees the 5311 Rural Formula Funding Program as well as the 5311(f) Intercity Program for the State of Idaho. She also acts as a liaison for the Public Transportation Office with other departments, helping to integrate and bring awareness for transit into the highways system. Additionally, she oversees the planning functions for the office and the Statewide Public Transportation plan.

Hobbies include spending time with her husband of 5 years, Trek, and her lively and spirited 3 boys Weston (6), George (4), and “Bear” (3). They enjoy spending as much time as possible outside camping, fishing, hunting, and exploring the great outdoors. Rachel has a passion for giving back to others and is currently a surrogate.

Her personal interests include studying leadership and listening to podcasts on a variety of topics, as well as reading and continually pursuing opportunities to grow as a person for her career and for her family.
