A policy forum featuring the latest research on the strategic role of public transportation in greenhouse gas reduction and energy conservation will take place on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Hyatt Regency is located at 400 New Jersey Avenue, NW (three blocks from Union Station).
Experts representing transportation, environmental, governmental and academic organizations will share research on public transportation’s positive impact on the environment and discuss how to advance public transportation as part of the solution to curbing global warming and addressing energy independence.
The forum is specifically designed to benefit congressional staff, environmental organizations, transportation associations, and U.S. Federal agency officials.
