The 2025 APTA Annual Report highlights a year of significant progress, resilience, and forward momentum for the public transportation industry. Guided by the Strategic Plan, strong leadership, and unprecedented collaboration among Transit Board Members, CEOs, and Business Members, APTA navigated a complex post-pandemic environment while driving meaningful achievements across the mobility landscape.

Over the past year, APTA focused on the industry’s most urgent challenges—economic, social, technological, and environmental—and delivered measurable results. The association advanced diversity, equity, and inclusion across transit systems and communities; helped bring financial stability to U.S. bus manufacturers and suppliers; and invested in new strategies to recruit, retain, and reskill the workforce that powers public transportation. APTA also strengthened its governance rules to ensure the association remains inclusive, representative, and well-positioned for the future.

The report highlights how APTA amplified the industry’s voice on Capitol Hill, forged impactful partnerships, and delivered content-rich conferences that equipped members with insights and solutions for a rapidly evolving mobility landscape.
