The Act provides $88.4 million for the Transit Security Grant Program (TSGP) in Fiscal Year (FY) 2026, an increase of $4.7 million (6 percent) from the FY 2025 enacted level.
The legislation also provides salaries for the staff responsible for working with public transit agencies that were awarded FY 2025 TSGP grants. During the DHS shutdown, Federal Emergency Management Agency staff were unable to provide awarded TSGP funds to transit agencies for draw down.
