More than 150 APTA business members met March 16-18 for the association’s 2026 Business Members Annual Meeting in Savannah, GA. The meeting brought together manufacturers, suppliers, technology providers, architecture and engineering firms, contractors and builders, and small businesses—all reflecting the broad range of APTA business members.

Bus Manufacturing Facility Tour Highlights Contribution to Local Economy

Elected representative for California’s Assembly District 58, Leticia Castillo (R), toured ENC’s bus manufacturing facility in Jurupa Valley, Riverside and observed the end-to-end bus manufacturing process. The 227,000-square-foot facility employs approximately 230 people, with the potential for 500 at full production capacity.

Standard Bus Procurement Guidelines

The Standard Bus Procurement Guidelines provides a standardized template for bus procurement request for proposal (RFP) contract documents. It allows agencies to select from various options for technical and non-technical requirements and includes provisions specific to diesel, battery electric, CNG, and hybrid buses.

Rail Transit Rulebook Development and Review

This standard provides guidance for the development of a transit operating system rulebook introduction and provides suggested approaches for rulebook issuance and authority.

Transit De-Escalation Policy and Training

Assaults on transit workers have increased. This recommended practice provides transit agencies policy and training recommendations and resources to support transit workers in the de-escalation of confrontations with the goal of reducing transit worker assaults.
