Summary
This standard provides testing and inspection procedures for transit radio communication systems in order to ensure that special life/safety equipment is operational and reliable; to help rail transit systems incorporate safety considerations during the inspection and maintenance process; and to identify inspection criteria and maintenance standards that provide a high level of passenger and personnel safety.
