Establishment of a customized framework for best preparing for MAP-21 requirements,
-
Identification of any current gaps in agency safety programs,
-
Opportunities to enhance existing safety efforts through information sharing with peers and benchmarking best practices,
-
Ongoing support of APTA safety management resources and staff, and
-
Industry-backed guidance for moving beyond regulatory compliance to ensure the long term viability of the agency’s safety programs by initiating a safety management systems approach which follows APTA’s model.
