The American Public Transportation Association Honors Excellence in Public Transportation Marketing and Communications

The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) announced yesterday the winners of their annual AdWheel Awards at the APTA Annual Meeting & EXPO in New Orleans, LA. The awards recognize public transportation systems and APTA business members for excellence in advertising, communications, marketing, and promotion.

“Recipients of this esteemed award represent creativity to the highest standards in public transportation marketing and communications,” says APTA President William Millar. “The AdWheel Award recognizes successful delivery of innovative and engaging public transit communications.”

Nearly 600 entries competed this year in the four categories of print, electronic, campaign, and special event. First place honors were awarded in various subcategories for each of the four groups, based on system size. Grand Award winners were chosen from those first place winners in each group.
