Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework

Yesterday, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. and a bipartisan group of 10 Senators announced agreement on a Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework. President Biden also issued a statement in support of the Framework.

The plan includes $579 billion in new spending for infrastructure. It includes $49 billion for public transit, $7.5 billion for electric buses/transit, and $66 billion for passenger and freight rail. While optimistic about the proposed Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework, we need additional information before taking a formal position on the proposal. APTA President and CEO Paul P. Skoutelas issued a press release commending the bipartisan efforts.
