Chicago Transit Authority internships transform students' futures and boost summer youth engagement.

Chicago Transit Authority operates the nation’s second-largest public transportation system, covering the city of Chicago and 35 surrounding suburbs.

Under President Dorval Carter Jr., CTA has been exceptionally committed to its two internship programs: the seven-week CTA One Summer Chicago High School Internship Program, as well as a highly competitive summer and year-round college internship for more than 80 students. “President Carter has consistently challenged us to be bigger and bigger and bigger,” said Geisha Ester, vice president of training and professional development.
