Leni is more than a parts clerk. By keeping Utah’s transit running smoothly, she’s helping to keep its economy humming.
Leni is one of the 2,800 workers employed directly by the Utah Transit Authority (UTA), and she is proud of the role she plays in connecting the mechanics who maintain UTA’s fleet with the parts and equipment that are manufactured in every corner of the United States.
“What I enjoy most is all the mechanics I work with. We’ve all become very good friends over the last 15 years,” she said.
Whether UTA is connecting weekend riders to shopping and entertainment, workers to their jobs, or employees like Leni to careers that make a difference in their community, public transportation will continue to drive growth for Utah’s economy for years to come.
