The Chief Communications and Customer Service Officer serves as STA’s primary voice in the agency’s external affairs. To be successful, the CCCSO must be a diplomatic, collaborative, and charismatic leader while championing the implementation of innovative strategies within a public environment. Utilizing their experience in leadership and change management, they will successfully implement a uniformed communications and branding strategy balanced between ridership growth and transportation access. The CCCSO will need to be enthusiastic and visionary leader when engaging the public, government officials, and key stakeholders to generate excitement for new services and emerging transit technologies being implemented by Spokane Transit Authority to maximize access and ridership throughout the region.

Seeking a Director, Planning to direct planning activities to improve bus and light rail service, overall ridership and revenue for the District. Planning activities include the development of expansion plans, service integration and optimization plans, strategic and policy plans, and short and long term capital and operations plans. This is accomplished by coordinating service planning and public activities, managing contract performance, and directing and supervising staff.

60-FOOT 5-DOOR HEAVY DUTY LOW FLOOR DIESEL/HYBRID TRANSIT BUSES
King County Metro is hereby extending the requests for proposal period of RFP MB 22-1 for the manufacture and delivery of 60ft 5-Door heavy-duty low-floor diesel/hybrid transit buses. Metro is seeking a minimum base quantity of 13 60ft 5 door diesel/hybrid buses. This RFP includes option quantities to purchase additional buses over a five-year contract term. The deadline to respond to said RFP is midnight May 31, 2022.
Anticipated advertising dates are April 8, 2022, April 29 2022, and May 13, 2022.

King County will award contracts, if at all, through the competitive negotiation process set out in this RFP. This project is funded in part by the Federal Transit Administration. Proposers will be required to comply with all regulations applicable to FTA-funded transit bus procurements, as well as applicable Washington State regulations and King County ordinances.

Valley Metro requests interested parties to submit Statements of Qualifications for National Transit Recruitment Services.
Valley Metro is seeking to establish an on -call list with multiple search firm(s) to aid the Valley Metro RPTA, and Valley Metro Rail Boards of Directors in finding top-level candidates that have experience in public sector entities, preferably with public transit. The search firm(s) shall have the necessary expertise, experience, and capability to conduct a professional, comprehensive national search, and to make recommendations of highly qualified and diverse candidates for key leadership positions. Successful experience conducting recruitment for large transit/transportation organizations is preferred.
Thursday, June 9, 2022 by 3:00 P.M. MST (Phoenix local time). Submittals received after the specified time will not be accepted.
