CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

METROLINK is seeking a Chief Executive Officer who will be an integral leader in enhancing transportation options in the Southern California region. The CEO is responsible for shaping and leading the Agency’s strategic long-term vision. The CEO is responsible for implementing policies, programs and directives, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Agency and providing leadership and oversight to the dedicated and professional workforce. The CEO is accountable for providing strong leadership, directing the Agency’s strategic plan and business objectives, while modeling core values and making recommendations to the Board of Directors, that result in cost effective programs, providing for a safe, efficient, and reliable transportation service.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience serving public-elected officials and working in a transportation or government environment. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, a minimum of five (5) years’ managerial experience in commuter rail or public transit, with experience at the executive level and knowledge of the Southern California transit industry.

VIRTUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Salary Range: $51,706 – $77,560

Summary
The Virtual Customer Service Representative position is responsible for monitoring and responding timely and accurately to customer comments about MARTA on social media sites. Improves communications with customers, partners and stakeholders by understanding the concerns raised, proactively and deliberately seeking information from Bus, Rail, Planning and relevant departments to respond succinctly to service-related inquires.  Develops and maintains social metrics and analyzes social media activities such as reach-factor of post and user level influence and trends.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manages MARTA’s social media presence on all social media platforms.
  • Monitors posts on social media channels, determines the customer impact, offers support, identifies root causes and ensures resolution and responses are timely and accurate to the customer.
  • Collaborates with Marketing, External Affairs, Planning and various departments to develop and promote projects and initiative on social media platforms.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key individuals Authority-wide to be able to respond appropriately and to stay informed on all established and developing programs that can be shared with our constituents.
  • Assists with outreach efforts to respond to social media comments regarding major emergencies, crisis situations, service disruptions and negative news communication.
  • Builds community support and advocacy by social media dialogue and messaging.

Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in either Journalism, Communications, Social media Marketing, or Business Administration. At least 2 years of experience in extensive social media related tasks along with advanced customer skills is required.  Demonstrated ability to create social/media content for promoting positive social media exposure is required.  Ability to pro-actively engage with the social media community.  Strong writing and verbal communication, understanding of graphic design communication and the ability to generate positive impressions is needed.

KANAWHA VALLEY REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (KVRTA)

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/GENERAL MANAGER

The Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority (KVRTA) located in Charleston WV,  is searching for a strategic leader to direct the programs, services, and its staff. KVRTA employs 140 individuals, serving a 913 square mile area with 20 fixed routes, operates a fleet of 49 buses and carried 1.6 million passengers a year (pre-COVID).  Additionally, KVRTA provides ADA Complementary Paratransit Service with 13 specially equipped vans.  KVRTA’s annual operating budget is approximately $13.3 million, and the Authority is supported locally by an excess property tax levy in effect until June 30,2024. Education/Knowledge
A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Public Administration, or a comparable equivalent is preferred. Experience and education related to a transit setting or a related field is required.   A thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and equipment related to public transportation is also required. Knowledge and application of federal, state, and local government regulations is required.

Experience
Extensive experience in public transportation planning/management with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience, including a minimum of 5 years at a senior management level. An additional requirement is experience preparing and monitoring budgets, services, experience in labor relations, union negotiations, and system performance monitoring as well as the ability to prepare and present reports.

Compensation
KVRTA offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. KVRTA plans to fill this position in the summer of 2021.

EXECUTIVE OFFICER, PROJECTS ENGINEERING (TRANSIT CAPITAL PROJECTS)

The Executive Officer, Projects Engineering will provide executive direction and oversee the overall engineering and construction activities for major capital projects. This position will lead a diversified team of engineering, construction management, and project controls staff; and influences relationships with third parties and project stakeholders to help ensure successful implementation of major capital projects. They will also ensure all design and construction meet operations and maintenance quality standards and expectations.

Planning, implementing, and reporting on infrastructure renewal and state of good repair capital projects, as well as directing all project management activities related to engineering and project controls.
